How are we adapting to lockdown life
How has lockdown been for you? We effectively shut our doors 2-weeks after we opened our new studio in Wetherby, but have been working behind the scenes to create an upgraded website, more effective ways to communicate with you and have even invested in some new printed materials and upgraded products.
Here’s some ideas on hw we can continue to work together during this time….
1. We’re starting outdoor photo-shoots for portraits, personal branding, website and product photography
Would you like a new set of headshots or products images for your website? Did you know I started off as a product photographer for many years at Maplin Electronics? Now's a great time to update your images!
I recently went to photojournalist Lynne's garden to take some photographs she would like to use to start up a new instagram account all about women's fashion and to celebrate her 70th birthday. Staying outside and 2m apart meant we could observe social distancing safely and I'd love to do more of it!
2. We are adapting our studio sessions going forward.
We are adapting our experiences slightly to include Zoom consultations with our make-up artists and for our viewing sessions, until its safe to do so.
On the makeover zoom call, you'll be able to discuss your overall look, show your make-up artist your kit and discuss any techniques or products you’re not familiar with. She’ll also tell you how to adapt your make-up for the best results with our studio lighting. She is also available to call at a later date to show her what you have achieved to review and advise further.
Keeping contact to a minimum, I will be the only person in the studio session. We will stay 2m apart and make sure everything is fully sanitised before and after each session. There will be a hand-sanitising station and masks on hand if you would like me to wear one. We will re-introduce make-overs to the studio experience as soon as we can, adhering government guidelines.
Our photo reveal sessions usually take place at the studio, so we will also be swapping to zoom for these as well.
3. We’re hosting a 'Back-to-Basics' Make-up Masterclass
Aimed at anyone who would like to get to grips with the fundamentals of make-up and has never felt like they have mastered the basics. We are stripping everything right back to the beginning, we're not using hundreds of products and really intricate techniques that take a life time to master.
Our amazing Lissie Collings will sharing all her secrets with you!
The basics of skincare and how to prep the skin for make-up.
How to achieve a simple day look.
How to transition to a more sultry evening look.
